Military Care Packages

Dear Chapter Members,

I am one of the many retired military members of our Chapter.  Those of you that have served in the armed forces know what it is like to be separated from our families and friends and wish to just see them and be home again.  Sometimes we feel like we have been forgotten and then we get a letter from home or a package that helps us through another day. The packages we send will not only benefit our Chapter members, but their brothers- and sisters-in-arms as well. Let’s make our military members who are now overseas get that feeling of getting something special from home that shows them we care.

Attached is a list of items that we can send them and let them know that we do hold them dear to us.  We have several members that will be missed at the meetings, rides and special events that we plan as a Chapter.  I would like to see us send all of them special packages at least once a month.  Please bring your donated items to our meetings, or drop them off at Thunder Tower Harley-Davidson, and I will proudly get the packages together and send them to our soldiers on behalf of the Thunder Riders H.O.G. Chapter.  It is my way of saying, "I am proud to be an American and proud to have served in the military." If you would rather donate money, just make the check payable to "Thunder Riders" and mark it "Care Package".  Claire will then give me that money to purchase items or pay for shipping.
